چکیده
In this study a coupled thermodynamics and crankshaft dynamics model of large two-stroke diesel engine was utilised, to map the relationship Instantaneous Crankshaft Torque (ICT) with following frequently occurring malfunctioning conditions: (a) change in Start Injection (SOI), (b) Rate Heat Release (RHR), (c) scavenge air pressure, (d) blowby. This performed using frequency analysis on ICT, which obtained through series parametric runs model, under various healthy operating conditions. process demonstrated that ICT can be successfully utilised identify distinct effects malfunctions or (d), as they occur individually any cylinder. Furthermore by same process, identified for cylinder, however there is no effect among these malfunctions, since their in-cylinder pressure similar. As result, demonstrates usefulness non-intrusive diagnostic measurement, well benefits conditions mapping, allows quick less resource intensive identification malfunctions.

The crankshaft is one of the most critically loaded components as it experiences cyclic loads in the form of bending and torsion during its service life. Its failure will cause serious damage to the engine so it’s important at the time of design to verify fatigue strength. More challenges in crankshaft design due to increasing vehicle payloads, lower weight requirement, higher efficiency and lo...
متن کاملThe Analysis of Wheel Loader Diesel Engine Crankshaft Failure
The main purpose of this study is to review the cause for the crankshaft failure of six-cylinder diesel engine of a wheel loader after passing a short period of time. The failure had occurred after 4800 hours of in-service in the fifth crankpin of the crankshaft. Hardness and tensile tests were carried out to study their mechanical properties. Spectrophotometer machine was used to examine the c...

Based on the V-type diesel engine crankshaft system, the paper combined the finite element method (fem) and multi-body dynamics method together, made a virtual simulation analysis. First, by 3d software and finite element software to establish the multi-body dynamic models of the crankshaft, bearing and piston, then simulated the actual engine working condition, and got the data such as cranksh...
